Parish Ministry
Mission carried into ordinary life
Encouraging witness, outreach and voluntary evangelism.
Edavaka Mission reminds the parish that Christian witness belongs to the whole Church and must be carried into homes, work, neighbourhoods and everyday relationships.
Every member called to witness
The parish branch of the Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists' Association is called Edavaka Mission. The wider movement was formed in 1924 out of the conviction that every member of the Church should bear witness to Jesus Christ in the ordinary settings of daily life.
In parish life, that vision is expressed through fellowship, intercessory prayer, Bible study and practical care. The ministry helps members think of witness not as a specialist task, but as a faithful Christian responsibility carried into home, work and community.
Prayerful outreach rooted in care
At Immanuel MTC, Edavaka Mission strengthens the parish through prayerful support, visiting the sick and encouraging members to share the gospel naturally, humbly and with compassion.
Regular gatherings also create space for Bible reflection, shared testimony and renewed commitment to service, helping the parish stay outward-looking while remaining rooted in worship.
