Parish Care
Our Commitment to a Safe Environment
Immanuel Mar Thoma Church Cardiff adheres to the safeguarding principles and policies of the Mar Thoma Church and local diocesan guidelines.
We believe that safeguarding is the responsibility of the whole parish community. We actively work to protect children, young people, and vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, or neglect.
Our Safeguarding Policy
Our parish implements safe recruitment practices for clergy, committee members, and volunteers who work with children or vulnerable groups. We provide guidance and training to ensure safe boundaries and conduct are maintained.
Our church activities, including Sunday School and youth groups, are conducted in accordance with safeguarding best practices, ensuring appropriate supervision ratios and risk assessments.
