Parish Ministry
Women's fellowship with prayer and service at its core
Women's fellowship, prayer and service in the life of the parish.
Sevika Sanghom strengthens the parish through scripture, prayer, mutual support and practical care, helping women serve the Church with steadiness and compassion.
A long-standing women's ministry
The Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sanghom, the women's wing of the Church, was inaugurated in 1919. That wider history still shapes parish life by encouraging women to participate actively in prayer, witness, care and service.
Its value is not measured only by formal programmes. The ministry strengthens the church through faithfulness, presence, spiritual discipline and readiness to serve where help is needed.
Care that strengthens parish life
In Immanuel MTC, Sevika Sanghom provides a steady space for women to gather around scripture, prayer and mutual support. It strengthens the spiritual life of the parish not only through meetings, but through practical care, encouragement and faithful presence.
The fellowship also reflects the Mar Thoma emphasis on service beyond the church walls. Through prayerful support, hospitality and concern for people in need, the ministry helps the parish remain attentive to both spiritual and everyday burdens.
