Parish Ministry
Young people growing in worship, witness and service
Creating space for young people to grow, serve and lead.
Yuvajana Sakhyam helps young people belong meaningfully to the Church by giving them space to learn, serve, ask questions and take visible responsibility in parish life.
A four-fold pattern for youth formation
The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was organised in 1933 with the aim that young people should accept Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and bear witness to his saving power. Its four-fold pattern of worship, study, witness and service remains a strong guide for parish youth ministry.
That pattern matters because it keeps youth ministry balanced. Young people are formed not only by teaching, but by prayer, fellowship, responsibility and practical Christian action.
Visible participation in parish life
In Immanuel MTC, Yuvajana Sakhyam gives young people room to grow in faith, friendship and responsibility. It encourages participation in worship, Bible study, fellowship, outreach and practical service so that faith is lived rather than kept at a distance.
The ministry also helps the wider parish by drawing young people into visible roles and healthy Christian friendships. That shared life strengthens continuity between church tradition, present-day questions and future leadership.
