Parish Ministry
Children formed in faith and worship
Nurturing children in faith, worship and the Mar Thoma tradition.
Sunday School helps the parish teach children the scriptures, prayers, songs and worshipping life of the Church in a way that is joyful, rooted and age-appropriate.
Learning the faith early
The Mar Thoma Sunday School Samajam was founded in 1905, and parish Sunday School life follows that wider vision of helping children encounter God personally through scripture, worship and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The official curriculum is Christ-centred, Bible-based, liturgically focused and historically rooted. In practice, that means children learn the scriptures, prayers, songs and habits of the Church in ways they can understand and retain.
Supporting children and families
At Immanuel MTC, Sunday School supports families by creating a steady rhythm of common worship, class learning, memory work, music, participation and encouragement for every child to grow in faith with joy and confidence.
It also helps children see that church life is shared. Worship, friendship, reverence, service and learning are all presented together so that faith is not treated as a subject only, but as a life to be practised.
